Theses collection. The University Library receives copies of theses submitted for higher research degrees of the University of Strathclyde and which have been fully awarded. The Library retains the right to decide what is accepted in to the collection and curated for the future. You can access electronic copies, when available, via SUPrimo.

The British Library’s collection includes books, journals, manuscripts, maps, stamps, music, patents, photographs, newspapers and sound. Many of our digital collections provide material for free online. Please come to our Reading Rooms to access material that isn’t available online. Submitting your thesis. Since September 2008, it has been a requirement that one copy of all theses submitted for doctoral degrees be in electronic format, with the intention that they will be provided openly through the institutional repository, Queen Mary Research Online. Theses made available in WREO are also accessible through the British Library's Electronic Theses Online Service (EThOS). Submissions In addition to submitting a hard copy of your final approved thesis, University of Sheffield research students are required to submit an electronic copy to WREO.

Digital copies of Leeds theses may also be available through the Electronic Theses Online Service provided by the British Library. Please note that some theses are unavailable as the research is commercially sensitive or confidential. Find a UK thesis. You and your thesis. As a doctoral student, writing up and submitting your thesis is the culmination of several years of work and study. Your thesis is a representation of what you have discovered, and is an important part of your profile as a researcher.

The Library’s print collection of doctoral theses, submitted prior to electronic submission in 2010, can be found via Library Search. ProQuest Search ProQuest for digitised pre-2010 Manchester theses, as well as over four million theses and dissertations from institutions around the world.

Undergraduate dissertations and project reports are not provided by the Library in either online or printed format. Masters dissertations A sample of dissertations submitted for taught Masters degree courses are kept for five years and made available online to members of the University of Bath only.

Recent copies of IHR students' theses can be accessed on the School of Advanced Study repository. Most UK PhD theses are now only available through the British Library’s EThOS (Electronic Theses Online) service. These can usually be digitised on demand if they are not already available, and some universities subsidise the costs.
